On Easter Sunday, we decided to take a little trip to Martha’s
Vineyard. We boarded the ferry at Wood’s Hole and enjoyed the 20min ride to the
famous island.
Due to it being Easter Sunday (and out of season), it was
very quiet, so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.
Of course, Martha’s Vineyard is famous for being the holiday
destination of the Stars - specifically, John Kennedy and the rest of the
Kennedy clan. It’s also just as famous for it’s quaint streets, gingerbread
houses, lighthouses and the Black Dog.
Transportation on the island is easy to navigate. There is a
bus system which stops in all the major areas. We visited three of the more
well-known areas: Vineyard Haven, Edgartown and Oaks Bluff.
Martha's Vineyard was really stunning and relaxing. You could see why so many people decided to spend their summer holidays on this quaint little island. Would love to come back here one day, when it's in season.
Our trip to Salem is up next!
