From New York we took a little road trip up to the New
England area.
Our original plan was to go to Maine and then Boston and
back to New York. However, it was nearing the end of our trip and we were
tired. Maine just seemed so FAR away. Poor Liesl also caught the flu and she
was feeling as sick as a dog. So we decided not to attempt the trip to Maine.
Instead, we opted for a nearer destination: Cape Cod.
So we rented our little car, and booked our accommodation
and off we set.
We decided to include a little detour to Connecticut on our
way. I wanted to specifically visit Hartford and visit the grave of Hollywood
Legend, Katharine Hepburn.
We eventually arrived at Santuit Inn in Mashpee, Cape Cod.
This is where we would call home for the next few days.
Cape Cod was such a beautiful place. Very quaint, and clean.
We drove throughout the entire area – visited Sandwich, Falmouth, Woods Hole
(where we caught the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard) and of course Hyannis Port –
which is famous for it’s JFK connection.
Here’s some pics
Liesl by this point
had also gone from bad to worse, and had to make an emergency stop at the
Doctor.
With a bag of antibiotics in hand, Liesl was well on her way
to recovery.
As soon as she felt better, we took a little trip to Martha’s
Vineyard. I’ll cover this in my next post.
